Bio: Joined Garrett after graduating University of Florida in 1986 with BS in Mechanical Engineering. Worked briefly in the test & develoment of the TFE731 before being granted the privilege of working on ATF3 performance and durability improvements (to be later known as the Silver Bullet mods) under Fred Fuller. The best job of my life! We had a very small group (me, Fred, John Evans, and Greg Hansen). I got to design my own parts, have them fabricated, tested them at Site B on my own test engine, reviewed the results, made changes and did another iteration. Got to work with some great people at Site B (including Mel Sutton, world's best ATF3 mechanic!). We had just started the FAA certification testing on the Silver Bullet mods when I left in 1991 to get an MBA at Carnegie Mellon. I'm now working at small family-owned manufacturer of autobody supplies. Married with two daughters.
